Ashton Kutcher Makes Rare Comments About Ex-Wife Demi Moore and Says He’s “So Proud of Her”

Ashton Kutcher is sharing a rare public comment about his ex-wife Demi Moore.

Kutcher, 47, shouted out Moore, 64, and her 2024 body horror movie The Substance while he promoted his new FX series The Beauty alongside costars Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"I mean, one, Demi's performance in The Substance, obviously she got extraordinary accolades, I'm so proud of her, she killed it," Kutcher said during the interview, after ET noted that his project is receiving plenty of comparisons to Moore's 2024 body horror movie.

Moore and Kutcher, of course, began dating in 2003 and married in 2005. They announced their split in November 2011 and formally finalized their divorce some two years later. While Moore alleged that Kutcher cheated on her in her 2019 memoir Inside Out, the pair appear to be on better terms now. In 2020, Kutcher said that he and Moore carry "no badness" between them. While he said the former couple "don't hang out," he said that he makes efforts to keep in touch with Moore's three daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34 and Tallulah, 31, whom she shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis.

"I was helping raise teenage girls through their adolescence. I love them," Kutcher said of Rumer, Scout and Tallulah at the time. "I'm never going to stop loving them and respecting them and honoring them and rooting for them to be successful in whatever they are pursuing."

In 2022, they costarred in an AT&T commercial that aired at the Super Bowl with Kutcher's wife Mila Kunis in which the two women joked that they had "a lot in common." Kunis and Kutcher began dating in 2012 after his split from Moore and married in 2015. They share two children: daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 11, and son Dimitri Portwood, 9.

Kutcher stars as a biotech billionaire behind a revolutionary new treatment known as "the Beauty," which grants its users physically attractive attributes and also seemingly causes death, violence and chaos. An official synopsis for the series reads that Kutcher plays a “shadowy tech billionaire who has secretly engineered a miracle drug dubbed ‘The Beauty,’ who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire."

Moore, of course, won awards at the Golden GlobesCritics Choice Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2025 for her performance as an actress who takes an illicit drug called "the substance" that enables her to spend half her time as a younger, more beautiful version of herself in The Substance.

The Beauty premieres on FX Jan. 21.
