Prince Edward Breaks Royal Silence After New Epstein Email Revelations Involving Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson
Prince Edward is speaking out about the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
At the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Tuesday, Feb. 3, the Duke of Edinburgh, 61, became the first member of the royal family to share his thoughts about the Epstein files, stating that “it’s really important to remember the victims."
“And who are the victims in all this? A lot of victims in all this," Prince Edward added to CNN journalist Eleni Giokos as she interviewed him on stage, reported The Independent.
Prince Edward's comments follow the release of more documents linking his brother, the former Prince Andrew, to the disgraced financier. Andrew has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
In the latest files released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), it was revealed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 65, had an alleged correspondence with Epstein that included sharing photos of his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, when they were younger.
Andrew appears to have sent the late Epstein his family Christmas cards from 2011 and 2012, which both included photos of Beatrice, now 37, and Eugenie, now 35, when they were in their early 20s.
The 2011 card showed the princesses boating together, while the 2012 card showed them in photos on solo adventures.

Andrew’s alleged correspondence came after Epstein was convicted of soliciting a minor for prostitution and soliciting prostitution in Florida in 2008, for which he served 13 months in jail.
It also allegedly happened after Andrew claimed to have cut off all contact with Epstein in his infamous 2019 interview with the BBC.

Edward’s former sister-in-law and ex-wife of Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, has also featured in the newly released documents from the Epstein file.
Among the new evidence was an email reportedly sent from Ferguson, 66, to Epstein, including a vulgar mention of her daughter, Princess Eugenie. When Epstein asked about a possible trip to New York, Sarah allegedly replied. “Not sure yet. Just waiting for Eugenie to come back from a shagging weekend!!”
Eugenie, who was two days shy of her 20th birthday at the time, was on a trip with her then-boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, to celebrate, The Mirror reported.
Another email correspondence between Ferguson and Epstein also appears to show the former Duchess of York congratulating him on having a "baby boy."
A representative for Ferguson had no comment when PEOPLE reached out about these latest emails.
